In mid-2020, Apergy and ChampionX came together to form what is today ChampionX, a global leader in oilfield technology solutions, chemistry programs and services, drilling technologies, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the oil and gas industry.

While our name may be new, our rich history is built on over a century of experience, dating back to the petroleum industry’s infancy. From the early days of sucker rod manufacturing in Tulsa, Oklahoma to selling drilling mud additives in Sugar Land, Texas, the ChampionX portfolio has evolved to comprehensively serve oil and gas operations worldwide. 

The nineteen employees at the ChampionX facility in Garyville, Louisiana work to produce water soluble polymers used exclusively in the global oil and gas production industry.

Our team members are committed to delivering excellent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. Our organization provides training and a culture of support for our employees to ensure they are equipped and prepared to do their jobs safely every day.

We are driven by our belief in Goal Zero – our goal of zero accidents, incidents, and environmental releases is achievable because all incidents are preventable. We empower our people with Stop Work Authority to stop a task if they observe an unsafe action or condition at a worksite or have a concern about the control of a health, safety, or environmental risk.

In the midst of the global pandemic and in the face of natural disasters, we are proud of the many ways in which ChampionX employees gave of themselves to help improve lives in the communities in which we live and do business. Locally, ChampionX team members organized food drives in communities which have been particularly hard hit by the pandemic, and our employees were actively involved in hurricane relief efforts to help local communities along the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast rebuild after last year’s particularly active hurricane season.
